NOVEMBER 2022

Member Story of the Month

It’s not often that we call members to let them know that we owe them money. This year, we sent a member a large check for money owed to him from us.

After identifying a significant financial error in an account, our corporate office contacted Thomas, a long-time member. Because the error involved a large sum of money from years ago, Thomas was skeptical of the call and was concerned it was a scam.

After visiting in person with Branch Manager Lemuel Okogbodu, Thomas was reassured the phone call was legitimate and that Texas Trust would be depositing several thousand dollars into his account. Following the meeting, Thomas mailed our corporate office a letter expressing his appreciation for correcting the financial error and meeting with him to explain the situation. He wrote:

Dear Texas Trust,

I want to compliment Mr. Okogbodu on his professionalism and courtesy he showed me during our meeting on Sept. 24. He was well informed about the situation and answered all of my questions. As we concluded our discussion, he expressed his personal apology for the mistake that was made. He also took a few minutes to help me set up my online banking, which I truly appreciated. Mr. Okogbodu has the personality, work ethic and desire to be a great asset in your business.

Sincerely,

Thomas
